Crew V - Family Photo

I chose this picture of my family and I that we took on Christmas Eve. It was the first family photo we had taken in a while and I think it came out great. I adjusted the levels, contrast, color balance, and the tone of the photo. I also had to use the red eye tool on my brothers. This is one of the best family photos we have ever taken.

Antoinette M - Ed Sheeran

I did Ed Sheeran for my typography project. Basically for Ed I chose random songs and his name for my project. This was kinda difficult bc it dealt with many different colors and you had to have many different text. In the end I think it turned out great.

Lauren F - Jake

This is a photo I took downtown. To accomplish this picture, I first spot-healed and patched any imperfections I thought needed a little touching up. Then, I changed the brightness, contrast, and vibrance. I then added some offset to the picture which adds a little darkness to the spots that need it. What I find most intriguing about this photograph is the way the background colors match him. The shirt, his hair, etc.

Libby S - Glowstick

In this photo I simply titled “glowstick”, I set my shutter speed as slow as possible and had my dad wave around a glowstick. He made a circular pattern until the picture finally took (which took forever), and the outcome was this. I had him take it with a brick wall background to make the focus be only on the glowstick. If I could do it again, i would ask him to be precise with his circles to make it look even cooler. I love this picture though, because I think it is very original and a quality picture.

Brittany W - Class GIF

To do this project I asked multiple people from my class to go into the studio and I told them to smile or make a funny face. After the pictures were taken I aligned their faces and cropped the pictures. This assignment was different from a traditional photo assignment because you had to think in a way to make the pictures tell something when put together. My favorite thing about this project was that when you put all the pictures together it makes you see things differently.

Drew D - Motion Blur

This picture was taken a while ago in a parking lot. Just recently I edited the picture to add a motion blur, making it seem as if the car was flying into the parking space. the addition of the blur added more action and rhythm to the picture.

Corbin W - Surrealism

With my Surrealism #1 picture there is two opposite areas of the picture filled with clouds then a hand coming out of the sky is coming down to take hold of someone else’s hand reaching up through the bottom portion of the clouds. Then there is a hand trying to stop the person from reaching to the creator (then hand reaching down.) The picture turns out to go along really well with the message of Psalm 18:16 “He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.”

Caleb G - Portrait

This picture was taken at Tanehill for the portrait project, and it looks kind of funny. The kid is dressed up like a werewolf for halloween, but his face looks bored, like there’s no heart to his costume. He also has a Dr. Pepper, which is funny because he’s supposed to be a ferocious, wild werewolf. He is a representation of the loss of wonder in today’s world, which is a little funny and a little sad.

Lindsey M - Sunflower

I used an outline of the sunflower from the internet and used words about the sunflower to create the image. I like the simplicity of it and I think that putting the words on the image makes it look cool. If I did anything differently, I would make the sunflower more detailed.

Grey B - Portrait

This is a photo of Coach Steinert in front of his white board. I love this picture because it makes Steinert look like a bronze statue and the texture looks cool. But if I could do anything different i wish I would have gotten a cooler background instead of a plain white background.

Hayley W - Dolphin Tail

I took this picture this past summer at sea world while watching the dolphin show. It turned out to be a lot better than i thought it would be since i took it without really trying that hard just hoping that it would get a good picture. I like the way the water looks as it splashes off the dolphins tails and the light reflects off of it. I also like that the picture gives off a sense of wonder and energy.

Mariah M - Camel

For my blogpost I will be submitting my typography animal, which is a camel. The reason why I chose this is because I love camels and they are really sweet and hope to ride one some day. I think I did my best on this animal because it looks very realistic and it is a unique animal.

Chance R - SP

I got this picture from the internet. I chose this picture because I was bored. I used my school logo to show some school spirit. I would make the text inside say “Spain Park Jags” instead of “Spain Park”. I like the way it cuts off the letters.

Yana V - Landscape

I took this picture over Christmas break in Colorado. My family and I were walking around and the view was really pretty from where i was standing. I love this picture because the snow is absolutely beautiful. And the trees pop out in the snow, because of the contrast of dark and light. I love this picture but to make it better I would have liked to get a mountain in the back.

Devontae J - Flowers

i went hiking one day with some friends and the entire trail was very gloomy and like just a little haunted and grungy until i came across this one spot where the sun was shining with this pond of petal and a flower and it was so beautiful so i took a pic of it.

Heather W - Polaroid

This polaroid is made entirely out of words. I varied the words I was using and the colors and added some shadows for the buttons and the knob. I really liked the way it came out. I worked hard on it and changed specific letters to give it a three dimensional feel.

Devin T - Soccer Game Huddle

This is a picture I took before a Spain Park Boys’ soccer game as they huddled. I like this photo because of its natural feel given off from the picture. The group seemed focused and ready which was a good time to take a picture of them. This picture is for my photojournalism project, and it is my favorite picture from the project. Unfortunately, I had to zoom in all the way to get a close up of the players so the photo is grainy.

Matt L - Colorado Sunset

I took the picture of the mountains in Colorado. The picture of the sunset came from Lake Martin with the levels adjusted. I think it looks cool with the two pictures put together.

Matthew S - Running

I title this photo “Running.” I took this photo at a track at a middle school. I created this image by having my friend run past the camera and i took the photo while he was in mid stride. I like the overall colors of the photo and how it has the washed out type look to it. I would try to get a clearer shot of my friend running and a mored blurred out back ground.

Giliian E - Subject Motion Blur

This is a picture (subject motion blur) I took of Mallory spinning in a circle.

Jack S - Tennis Freeze

I took this photo at the Spain Park tennis courts, it is an action shot. I like this photo because you can see the tennis ball right before he is about to hit a backhand. If i were to take this photo differently I would make the background less busy.

Hunter F - Surrealism

This picture is from my surrealism project and it was the first one. I used these photos off the internet, but I still like the way that this project turned out. This project took me a while to figure out all the certain details, but I think the final product was really good. I think that if I could change something about this picture, I would have to do different people for each character in the image.
